UI/UX Design
Goals. The website should provide information related to local culture, history, maps and tour guides, public transport information and anything else the visitors might want to know about the city.
Objectives. The site needs to have straightforward information, helpful logistical details and tips that will help visitors simplify the travel process.
The Challenge. One of the biggest challenges was to strike a balance between including enough information, but no so much that I overwhelm the visitors.
The Solution. To create a well structured content, I used several menu items to organize the site content in different categories, in order to make it easier to navigate.

Starting the design
Sketching helps me better formulate the visual concepts and I find this practice very useful to quickly generate ideas at the early stages of the website design process.
A peek behind the scenes. This is one of the wireframe flowcharts in which I combined the flow and wireframes in order to get a better experience for the user, by anticipating the decisions he might take.

VISUAL SYSTEM
Since I started designing this website from the ground-up, I came up with a color scheme and text styles that would reflect the purpose of this project and be consistent throughout the website.
Responsive layout grid. Adapts to screen size and orientation, ensuring consistency across layouts.
